Centralized database for Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine

The primary goal of the Centralized database for Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine (CDb MTIBU) consists in registering information about agreements of obligatory insurance of motor vehicle proprietors liability, information about insurance claims adjustment, information about agreements forms. CDb is also intended for a centralized conducting regulatory and inquiry information for this kind of insurance.

It’s been organized a register for both internal and international insurance agreements (“Green Card”).

Centralized Database for MTIBU is built on basis of InWare data storage.

Gathering and control of information quality

The system provides everyday gathering of the entire information relating to agreements and adjustments of civil liability from insurance companies to MTIBU. Functionality of the System is implemented by different possibilities that ensure:

• Adjustment to different sources of information
• Transformation of data to the standard format
• Mistake check and possibility to correct them
• Loading data to the centralized base

Reports execution and analytical data processing

Experts from MTIBU and insurance companies have possibility to execute reports and use different information processing using high-capacity toolkit. The system has a convenient interface for creating new reporting forms.

Remote access

For a simplified access to the centralized information resource users may use an introduced web portal. Common citizens also have the access to the CDb information.

Administrating system tools

The system provides downloads monitoring, users’ actions analysis, access data rights separation, conducting regulatory and inquiry information, automatic software updating.

Main results of introducing

As a result of introducing the system insurance companies, MTIBU and authorities now have modern information analysis system with following possibilities:

• Access to information relating to insurance civil liability agreements, lost or damaged forms, works on insurance actions adjustments, control of integrity, fullness, credibility and currency of these works
• Ensuring quick search and defining insurance coverage
• Defining list of ground vehicles proprietors that don’t have effective civil liability agreements and following execution of casework with them
• Ensuring the adjustment procedures execution by members insurers of MTIBU and their insurance works on road accidents by means of the centralized control over adjustment insurance works using the CDb tools
• Reduction of insurance cheating level using data saved in CDb
• Conducting information for MTIBU and other authorities managerial decisions relating to insurance process control
• Centralized tariff policy forming on basis of the system data
• Access to the information about bonus-malus coefficient use by insurance companies
